Mixed Wood Bowls /// Miguelito | Curari

2010

Miguelito | Curari is a set of bowls made out of two different types of wood. The aim was to design a utilitarian piece that used colour and shape to signal usability, not just a decorative object. The bowls are completely made by hand. The process starts by clamping the different pieces of wood together and then turning them by hand to get the desired form. The bowl’s shape is finally achieved by machining dents to form the handles.
